Just One More Day

A Memoir of Falling and Getting Back Up

A candid account of addiction, family, collapse, treatment, relapse, and the difficult work of rebuilding a life.

The Memoir

Falling is one story. Getting back up is another.

Just One More Day follows Sheldon Kornyk through addiction, the damage it inflicted on his life and relationships, and the long, uneven road toward recovery.

The story does not end at the moment help arrives. Treatment, relapse, family, accountability, and the work of beginning again are part of the same journey. Recovery is presented not as a single transformation, but as something that must continue to be chosen.

Told with candour and humour, without sanitizing the hardest parts, the memoir is ultimately about more than addiction. It is about the people affected by it, the consequences that remain after the crisis, and the possibility of rebuilding when starting over seems impossible.
